Septic System Installation
Full septic system design and installation for new construction or retrofit. All excavation, design, permitting, and installation handled in-house — never subcontracted.
Complete Septic System Installation
Whether you are building a new home, replacing a failed system, or developing a commercial property, SewerTime handles every step of the septic installation process in-house. From the initial site evaluation to the final inspection, our team manages all design, permitting, excavation, and installation.
We never subcontract. That means one team, one point of contact, and one company responsible for the entire project from start to finish. This keeps costs down, timelines tight, and quality consistent.
We install both conventional and alternative septic systems depending on your property's soil conditions, site constraints, and county requirements. Already have a design from another provider? We handle installation-only projects too.

FAQs
Frequently Asked Questions
How much does a new septic system cost in Arizona?
A new conventional gravity septic system in the Phoenix metro typically runs $12,000–$25,000 fully installed, depending on tank size, drain field type, soil conditions, and permit requirements. Alternative ADEQ Type 4 (aerobic treatment unit) systems for sites with poor soil run $20,000+. We provide written estimates after site evaluation and perc test.
How long does it take to install a new septic system?
On-site installation is typically 2–5 days once permits are issued. Total timeline from first contact to final inspection: 4–8 weeks including site engineering, perc test, county permit application (Maricopa County Environmental Services or Pinal County), installation, and ADEQ inspection. We project-manage the full timeline.
What's a percolation (perc) test and do I need one?
A perc test measures how quickly water drains through your soil — Arizona's Maricopa and Pinal counties require it before installing a septic system. SewerTime performs perc tests as part of site engineering ($300 for the perc test itself; included in our full design package). Results determine whether a conventional gravity system works or if you need an alternative.
What's an ADEQ Type 4 alternative septic system?
Type 4 systems are alternative treatment units (typically aerobic treatment with a pressurized disposal field) required when conventional systems can't work — usually due to small lots, high water tables, poor soil, or close proximity to wells. We install several Type 4 brands (Norweco, Hoot, Jet) and handle the ADEQ certification required for ongoing maintenance contracts.
Do I need a permit to install a septic system?
Yes — Maricopa County (most of Phoenix metro) and Pinal County (Apache Junction, parts of Queen Creek, San Tan Valley) require county permits before any septic install. Permits include site plan, perc test results, system design, and contractor licensure. SewerTime handles the full permit package; you sign the application and we file.
What size septic tank do I need?
Sizing is based on bedroom count and projected water use: 2-bedroom = 750 gal, 3-bedroom = 1000 gal, 4-bedroom = 1250 gal, 5-bedroom = 1500 gal. Garbage disposals, jet tubs, home offices, and casitas may bump sizing up. Maricopa County also requires minimum drain field area calculated from soil perc rate. We size during the design phase, not at installation.
Does SewerTime warranty new septic installs?
Yes — all new SewerTime septic installations carry a 1-year workmanship warranty plus the manufacturer's tank warranty (typically 25 years on concrete tanks, 30 years on plastic). Drain field installation carries a 2-year functional warranty. Issues caused by misuse (e.g., flushing inappropriate items) aren't covered, but we'll always show up to assess for free.
